Summer Blues

Happy Tuesday, ladies! Today, I'm sharing a design board I created for someone looking to add a little summer punch to a sitting area. We focused on creamy ivories, indigos, browns, and lots of texture - I'm loving the look we ended up with.

By replacing a sofa with rattan chairs, layering rugs, and adding new throw pillows, a space can be quickly transformed for the season. I absolutely love this laid-back look, and wish I could transition my living space for summer, how about you? If you're on a tighter budget, simply switching up your throw pillows is a great way to change the look of an entire room. Mix and match pillows are my favorite - just be sure to choose patterns of different sizes, and a color pallet that is easy on the eyes.

What is your favorite way to 'summer-ize' your home?

Vintage Kantha Quilts

Good morning! I have a case of the Monday's...how about you? My hubby was in Palm Springs all weekend, and I was left to fend for myself with Sophia (which was surprisingly simple). How was your weekend?

I have been on the hunt for the perfect kantha quilt for months...literally. It's really hard to purchase one online, because you aren't able to see all the details like you would in person. This weekend, I was wandering through West Elm, when I spotted a few kantha quilts stuffed into a back corner. I made a beeline for the shelf, and was delighted with a big SALE sign. I started digging through the mess of quilts, and found the most gorgeous turquoise throw. I also picked up this cute embroidered pillow to go with it - I'm loving the look of both on our white chair.

And some other looks I'm loving...

How amazing are those pillows?
