My Photo Wall

For our anniversary, I created  started a photo gallery wall. I knew it was something that my husband really wanted to do in our new home, and thought it was a sweet sentimental surprise on our special day. It took me ALL day to place, hang, and complete the wall (I did it all by myself and the frames are huge), but it was worth it! I can't wait to add more photos and frames to the space.

Frames are from Pottery Barn...the two largest pictures are 8x10 (gives you a reference of how monstrous the frames are)

Here are a few maj gallery walls that inspire my heart....

Do you have a photo wall in your home?

Monogrammed Gems

I have yet to write my letter to Santa, but when I get around it, I'll be sure to ask him for a piece of monogrammed jewelry with Sophia's initials.  There are so many beautiful baubles out there, and I've rounded up a few 'high' and 'low' pieces. My favorite is the engraved glass pendant - how unique is that? It reminds me of a family heirloom - swoon! There's just something so precious about monogrammed gems, don't you think?

What's on your Christmas list?

Sophia: 2 Months

This post is a few weeks overdue (oops), but Happy 2 Months to my babe!

Dear S,
I can't believe 2 (now 2.5) months have gone by. I can't remember what life was like before you (and what I did with all of my time), but I am loving every day spent with you. You are laughing, talking up a storm, and sleeping through the night (7 hours), which makes your mama very happy! You love music, and you LOVE to be held...but I don't mind, I love cuddling with you. I love you to the moon and back!
xo - your mama

Rugs USA 55% Off + Free Shipping Code

Happy Saturday! I have to share this with you all (I would feel guilty if I didn't), I found a coupon code for 55% off PLUS free shipping from Rugs USA. This code is only good until November 12th, so hop on over as soon as possible. The code is NOV55 - happy shopping! I got this rug (8x10) for only $388 - down from $939, and I'm in love! I have wanted a Beni Ourain rug for sooo long, but didn't want to shell out thousands of dollars for one. I have seen similar versions at Pottery Barn and West Elm, but you can't beat this discount code this weekend - woohoo!

Have a happy + safe weekend!

Friday - 4 Things I'm Loving

Happy Friday chicklets! So happy the weekend is here - woohoo! Do you have any big plans? Not much here - just going to relax, and get a few things done around the house.

After seeing Natasha's blog post, I decided I would give Scentsy a try - mostly because I love owls. I have always heard people raving about Scentsy, but to be honest, I thought it was a little 'trinket-y' (sorry, but it's true). However, when I received my owl yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised shocked - it didn't look like a little trinket at all. It reminds me of all of the owls I've been seeing at West Elm lately, AND it serves an amazing purpose. I ordered 'Central Park Pralines,' and the smell is ah-ma-zingly delicious! I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to fill their home with amazing smells this holiday season. See how cute this little whooter is? Sophia loved him - she couldn't stop staring.

We are seriously loving Sophia's high chair. This high chair is great because it can be used from birth - age 4 (maybe even older than that depending on child size ha!). It has many different positions - right now we are using the 'cradle' position without the tray, which is basically just a little seat for her. She likes to sit by me while I am cooking, and ends up falling asleep by the time we are finishing dinner. You can find the chair here.

I bought a new planner, and am very happy with the layout - it's the 'Mom Agenda,' and you can find it here. I overpaid for mine at Papyrus - DON'T do that! The planner is split up very nicely, and has places for notes, monthly calendars, weekly calendars with more than enough room to write, lists of holidays, favorite websites, and much more.

And lastly - these coasters! Pretty self explanatory - we got two sets of these from my parents, and I love them! They are heavy, gorg, and have a nice foam pad covering the entire bottom of the coaster (great for counters), not to mention the pretty holder they rest in. Find the coasters here.

Happy Friday - have a great weekend!

Sneaker Obsessed

*Since my honeymoon post was scheduled to go up yesterday, but didn't - I have two posts to share with you all today ;)

I'm currently having a love affair with sneakers. I suppose this obsession is not so new. I have always loved shoes, and had a pair of black, high-top Nikes at the age of 4 that I sported with my Beauty and The Beast backpack (I had two older brothers...it was hopeless). Back to current day - I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of sneakers, and the ones I reaaaally love, I will never buy (they are $700...I refuse to pay that for a pair of sneakers I will probably wear a handful of times).

So, I'm looking for the next best thing, and am hoping to find a pair for around $100. Here are a few of my favorite finds.

I know this is definitely not a look that everyone will love. So tell me, what do you think of these sneakers? Would you wear them?

Our Honeymoon

Keeping with the 'wedding theme,' I thought I would share details of our honeymoon - probably my favorite vacation ever! I'm not a huge fan of flying, and we wanted to spend as much time on our actual vacation as possible, so we decided to head to Cabo, which is only about a 2 1/2 hour flight.

We stayed at Esperanza, an Auberge Resort - a great place for a honeymoon or any private getaway. There are only about 60 (or so) villas, so it has a very intimate feel, and is a very secure resort with a private beach (so important - if you've been to Mexico, you know what I mean).

Each villa has an ocean view and a hot tub on the balcony - so great after a day at the beach!

Daily margs and champagne in the room

Cute newspaper at breakfast daily

These little crabs were ev-er-y-where!

Our spot the whole week

We spent one day in town, visiting the arc and enjoying a bucket of beers on the beach. It was fun to get away from the resort and experience 'true Cabo' for a few hours.

We had a great trip, and can't wait to head back to Cabo once Sophia gets a little older. We are thinking of trying a new place on our next visit - any suggestions? We are thinking Palmilla, Las Ventanas, or ME Cabo...ever been? Hope you're having a great week!
