Mad About Monday
Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Today is "Mad About Monday", and I am featuring mirrored furniture. I am a real sucker for anything and everything mirrored these days, and even managed to score my very own piece for FREE from overstock.com because it was damaged during shipping (and they did not have any more in stock). Winning! Some people love this look (moi), while others despise it would rather admire it in someone else's home (my mama). How do you feel about mirrored furniture? Love it...or leave it?

Go Girl...It's Your Birthday
Happy Friday! Today is a very special day for me...it's my birthday! Today, I will (unfortunately) be working, followed by a mani/pedi, and dinner with my guy! Tomorrow morning, we are heading to LA to stay at our favorite hotel, The Mondrian in West Hollywood. I am looking forward to a nice, relaxing weekend away!

Polka Dot Shake
Hello - Happy Hump Day! Today, I am sharing a very cute and delicious recipe - Strawberry Shake With Marshmallows...this is such a sweet treat and perfect for Valentine's Day (which is right around the corner)! I love the way the marshmallows create a polka-dot effect in the glass, tres fab! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1.5 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
2 generous scoops vanilla ice cream
1 cup fresh strawberries (no stems)
marshmallows
Directions:
Place milk, vanilla, ice cream, and strawberries in blender and blend until smooth
Cut marshmallows in half and stick to side of glass
Pour shake into glass, and enjoy!

DIY Brass Figurines
Good afternoon! I saw the most fab DIY Brass Figurines on Hi Sugarplum's blog, and I just had to share! How cute are these? I have been drooling over a few Jonathan Adler pieces for the past few months, but don't feel right about spending $500 on a figurine...I mean, come on. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I saw this amazing ($5) project. I'm especially loving the elephant -- what do you think? Enjoy!

Hello, and welcome to our second "Mad About Monday!" Today, I am bringing you COLOR! I am in love with bright colors as of late, and Spring 2012 is going to be all about color blocking and pastels -- I can't wait, can you? I used to be such a "black and white" person -- in my home, clothing, and accessories, but recently I have embraced color in every way possible and love how it really "brightens" up my day - pun intended.
