Lately: a Photo Update

Hello lovahs! Sorry for my long, long absence. I have been (yet again) very busy, but wanted to give you all an update via my camera roll.

I am seriously loving my new Christian Chaize coffee table book - this book is a MUST BUY. It's full of his gorgeous photographs, and the dimensions are hefty. Get it for a steal on Amazon: HERE

In other (very exciting) news, I have been working on a new project with a good friend of mine, Meggan - who lives in Chicago. We are starting a new blog - focused on fashion, and soon, Decorgreat will come to an end. I started this blog when I first moved to California, with nothing else to do, and no friends to hang with. It was focused on the decoration of our new digs, and I have to be honest when I say I'm just not quite as passionate about it anymore. Fashion is my first love, and I have always wanted to do something within the fashion industry - after working for a fashion magazine, I quickly changed my mind (another story), so this new blog will be my creative outlet for all things fashion/beauty related. The blog is still in the design phase, but we have our Insta account up and running - follow along at @somewherelately

We went to the mall on Father's Day to exchange a few things I bought my hubs - he ended up treating me to this Chloe bag...Happy Father's Day to me. I got yelled at for taking pics in Barneys, that was awkward.

A casual tee with a statement necklace - I'd love to find a few more necklaces to layer with this look.

Headed to dinner in this Zara dress.

And last, but certainly not least...Sophia. This little lady is crawling all over the place, and trying to eat everything in sight. I can't believe how quickly she is growing up. She loves the swings, and prefers I push her as high as possible.

Have a wonderful week lady friends! xo

Dress Your Walls

Hello loves, I'm sorry for my 'here' and 'there' blogging lately - I'm working on something pretty exciting, and will share more very soon, so I've been extremely busy with that and LIFE.

I've been dreaming about wallpaper the past few weeks (or years), but have decided not to wallpaper our current home - rather, wait until we are in a home we will stay for a longer period of time. I have been finding all kinds of amazing wallpaper as of late, and wanted to share some of my favorites with you.

I would love to use this in a playroom or kid's bath

this might be my absolute favorite

love this purple stunner

this is great

source unknown - love the block print

So, would you wallpaper your home?

Summer Bucket List

Probably not what you are thinking - this is not my 'personal summer bucket list,' rather a list of my favorite bucket bags for summer. Bucket bags are back in a major way, and I think this is a look people either love or hate, there is no in-between (or is there?). I personally love the look, and think these bags are great for days when you don't feel like lugging around a giant carryall.

Cinco de Drinko Fashions & a Winner

Happy Friday, ya'll! I'm SO happy for the weekend...it's been such a long week over here, how about you?

Cinco de Mayo is one of my favorite smaller holidays, because I love Mexican food and tequila. Give me an enchilada and a margarita, and I'll be a happy camper...just kidding, but really.

Do you have any fun Cinco plans? Here is what I'd love to wear to a party at the beach...

...in other exciting news, the winner of the Locally Grown tee is Lauren, congrats lady! I'll be contacting you shortly.

Happy weekend, everyone! xo

All Tied Up

One look I'm really loving for summer is lace-up sandals. Throw them on with a romper, boyfriend jeans, or your best summer dress to take your look to the next level. Here are a few of my favorite ensembles featuring the lace-up sandal...

Moroccan Inspired Master Bedroom

A bedroom for someone who was looking for a clean, but not sterile look with a Moroccan influence. We decided on creamy whites, and pops of fuchsia to add a feminine touch without overpowering the bedroom. I'm crazy about this pendant, I'd love to add it to my own master bedroom.

happy hump day!

DIY Oly Studio Pipa Side Table

I have long been ob-sessed with the Oly Studio Pipa Table, have a looksie...

images via

Unfortunately for me, the $1,500 price tag just wasn't gonna cut it for a side table. Bummer, right? Enter: Home Goods shopping trip last week. I was not looking for anything in particular, but as soon as I spotted this metallic monster, I knew I had to have it. I know, not cute - but the shape was definitely there. I knew with a little spray paint, it could look like the real deal. For $99, I didn't have much to lose. To my studio garage we went.

looking good already...getting excited

voila!

I still have a few things to do to finish this area (style the bar cart, order an ottoman, steam the chair, etc), but I am loving the way the table turned out. Not bad for $1,400 off, don't you think?

Happy Monday!
