Met Gala 2012: Best & Worst

Question -- Do you love the Met Gala as much as I do? 

The Met Ball is considered to be the 'Oscars of Fashion.' This event, hosted by Vogue, has (in my opinion) the best red carpet of any celebrity event. The annual ball celebrates the opening of The Met's fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute, bringing an edginess to the red carpet. While there were many amazing looks last night, I have compiled 10 of my favorites, and 10 of my not-so-favorites. 

I am no fashion critic...but I love fashion, and many of the best-dressed women in the world have also been on the "worst" list a time or two - it's all about taking risks. I also realize that my opinion will not necessarily be your opinion, which is why fashion is so great! These looks are merely my picks for the BEST and the WORST of the evening...enjoy! 

The Winners:

My #1: Karolina Kurkova, wearing Rachel Zoe. Oh-em-gee! This look is jaw-dropping...beautiful from the front and back, and the coordinating turban just makes it legendary. Over-the-top fashion is expected from this event, and Karolina brought it!

The look I would wear: Diane Kruger's violet Prada gown...tres fab! The color, the cut, and the 'easiness' of this dress are all so appealing to me. I'm also loving the drop pendant! 

The (not-so) Winners

Mama Mia...where do I begin? I know this night is about taking risks, but some of these looks should have stayed on the racks. 

I couldn't decide whether Beyonce was going to be on my 'best' or 'worst' list - in fact, I kept switching her photo from one to the other...She looks absolutely fab, and there are parts of this dress that I adore, however, I decided to place her here, because I just don't enjoy seeing that much butt cheek on the red carpet. Where do you think she should be?
