Go for the Bold

There's nothing more boring than a house full of 'builder beige' walls (yawn). There are just SO many options when it comes to color, and some of my favorite rooms feature bold or brightly painted walls. Many people are afraid of color, but it really can change the look of a room - in an amazing way. Wallpaper is another great option, but I chose to feature paint because it's easy to change and relatively inexpensive. Here are a few spaces that make my heart pitter patter...

Would you paint any of the walls in your home a bold color?

  3. Brooke,
Great selection of images; they were all new to me so that was fun! I'm really inspired by the strong graphic impact of black & white right now as this seems to be the direction of our dining room. I have a room that is almost the minty green color of the one pic, and the last photo of the turquoise room is a perfect match for our front living area ... and I've used a huge "splash" of hot pink with it, even a bit more than the photo room ... our paint is "Seashore Dream" by Mythic Paint in case anyone is looking for a color like that and I posted about it http://happilyhomeafter.blogspot.com/2012/04/easter-egg-room-or-progress-in-sitting.html. Enjoy the holiday weekend.

  5. I love how these paintings automatically brighten up my mood. I usually go for a white painting then adds up pop of colors in the rooms but these posts were great as well, definitely breaks out of the norm.
