Our Honeymoon

Keeping with the 'wedding theme,' I thought I would share details of our honeymoon - probably my favorite vacation ever! I'm not a huge fan of flying, and we wanted to spend as much time on our actual vacation as possible, so we decided to head to Cabo, which is only about a 2 1/2 hour flight.

We stayed at Esperanza, an Auberge Resort - a great place for a honeymoon or any private getaway. There are only about 60 (or so) villas, so it has a very intimate feel, and is a very secure resort with a private beach (so important - if you've been to Mexico, you know what I mean).

Each villa has an ocean view and a hot tub on the balcony - so great after a day at the beach!

Daily margs and champagne in the room

Cute newspaper at breakfast daily

These little crabs were ev-er-y-where!

Our spot the whole week

We spent one day in town, visiting the arc and enjoying a bucket of beers on the beach. It was fun to get away from the resort and experience 'true Cabo' for a few hours.

We had a great trip, and can't wait to head back to Cabo once Sophia gets a little older. We are thinking of trying a new place on our next visit - any suggestions? We are thinking Palmilla, Las Ventanas, or ME Cabo...ever been? Hope you're having a great week!

  1. OMG your pictures make me want to go back to Cabo SO bad. My husband and I have stayed at ME Cabo the 2 times we have been and LOVED it. Definitely a really "hip" and trendy place...good if you want to party, see celebs, etc. The club there goes just about all night long and you can definitley hear it, all night long. But we loved being so close to the Arch and the marina. We went to dinner one night a Las Ventanas...sat by Emmitt Smith! :) It was one of the most beautiful and best dinners of my life! And we went to dinner at La Palmilla one night too....AAAAAMAZING. When we go back we want to stay at one of those! Beautiful pictures!! Looks like a fun trip :)

    1. I know - I'm itching to go back, too! ;) Sounds like ME Cabo would not be the best with a babe - we may have to reserve that for an 'adults only' trip. We had dinner at Palmilla as well, and I fell in love...it will probably be our next stop. xo

  3. LOVE Cabo! We actually got married at a cute boutique hotel there called Cabo Surf. Best five days of my life. We are leaving next Friday to go for a week for Thanksgiving. Can't wait! It will definitely be different with the kids this time :)

  5. Brookie, Las Ventanas is amazing! We went a couple years ago and similar to where you stayed, you have your own villa and pool plus a personal butler. One of the best resorts we've been to! Looks like you had a great time!
