As promised, I have finnnalllly photographed my kitchen to share with you all. Like I mentioned last week, the kitchen is still not completely done - I am ordering new rugs, bar stools (we have none right now), and I'd like to add a chandelier or pendents - still trying to decide which way to go (suggestions welcome). I have always dreamed of having a white kitchen, and while this is not our 'forever' home, I was bound and determined to make that happen - and it did ;).
The renovation only took two weeks (luckily, because I was 38 weeks pregnant!). We were not living here at the time, but my husband was over here every three hours (literally) checking on the progress since we were on such a tight timeline.
Here's a breakdown of what we did:
- demo: counters, backsplash
- painted existing cabinets
- installed new cabinet hardware
- installed new marble counters
- installed new roman shades
- installed a subway tile backsplash to the ceiling (although it's hard to tell in some photos)
- new refrigerator
- new sink
- new faucet
- new paint
Here's a look at our kitchen before:
...and after:
here you can see the subway tile - to the ceiling
What do you think of the results?
Have a fab weekend!
Wow what a transformation! It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! You guys did an excellent job. It wasn't bad before but the white make it look so much more elegant and clean!

ReplyDeleteLooks absolutely gorgeous!!!! So jealous!
ReplyDeleteThe repainted cabinets pass for a factory finish! Were they brush painted or sprayed? Brand used? Obvio I'm thinking about painting cabinets these days ;( The kitchen is so fresh and inviting.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Robin! The cabinets were sprayed professionally - no way I could do that at 38 weeks prego! lol
DeleteIt' like a totally different place. I love it!
ReplyDeleteIt looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteBrooke! It looks fantastic! We're doing white subway tile as well! It's my favorite! Can't wait until we have some after photos! Pregnancy would have helped me move this along too :)

DeleteSO BEAUTIFUL!! You guys did a great job! We are in the process of starting to paint our cabinets ( white on the top and grey on the bottom). Did you hire someone to do the painting?
ReplyDeletegabeandjenni.blogspot.com
Thank you, Jenni! Yes, we hired someone to paint the cabinets for us - well worth it in my opinion!
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Chris!
DeleteYour new kitchen is such a beauty! I hope to have one like that one day:)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Chelsea! xo
DeleteOBSESSED...your kitchen before is almost exactly what ours looks like now. I HATE HATE HATE the dark cabinets. Someday we will do it, when the budget allows!
ReplyDeleteUhg I did not like the dark either..just too dark for me! xo
DeleteI love the reveal - the all white looks so fresh and crisp! Pinning now. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary Ann! xo
DeleteBrooke, if you dont mind me asking, about how much did it cost to complete this project? Its absolutely gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is what a little paint can do. Can you imagine, using just plain white for the whole kitchen and it looks totally different! I really love your new kitchen! It is very calm and serene. It looks so tidy and neat that if I had that kitchen, I would clean it every single day just to maintain its cleanliness. Haha! Renovation is my passion and seeing yours, I might re-do my kitchen again. Haha!
ReplyDeleteHi Brooke, can you give me a rough estimate of how much the remodel cost? Also, what are the dimensions of your kitchen... approximately? Thanks so much!! It looks amazine! I want marble countertops so badly!!
ReplyDeleteHi Hanah - I am not sure as to how much the total was. My best advice is to call around and see who can give you the best price (but make sure they know what they're talking about). good luck! I would say our kitchen is about 20x15ft
DeleteI love your roman shades---can I ask where you got them? thank you!
ReplyDelete-Veronika
Thank you, Veronika! We had the shades custom made for our kitchen. We bought the fabric online here: http://www.onlinefabricstore.net/
