(Non Maternity) Maternity Wardrobe

I don't know about any of you...but I am not a huge fan of maternity clothes...I just can't seem to find any that really appeal to me, and the thought of spending money on clothes I'll only be able to wear for the next few months is disappointing.

I decided to take matters into my own hands, and find pieces that I could mix and match throughout my pregnancy, without having to purchase any as many maternity items. I do realize, as my "bump" continues to grow, I will have to succumb to certain maternity pieces -- but I am determined to collect a minimal amount.

Here are a few of my favorite purchases thus far, complete with sources below. These are great staple pieces for your spring/summer wardrobe - expecting or not (see why this is so fab?)!
Please share any of your (non-maternity) maternity pieces as well!

  1. I definitely don't have a baby bump and won't for a long time coming but I love all of these anyway! The mint skirt, lace top, and navy striped dress are great.

  2. I feel your pain only because I have three preggers friends and have done a little shopping in the maternity stores. I have seen first hand what you are working with and everything is awful! Love that you are not giving in to this!

  3. Hi love yes we were living in Miami but recently moved back home to OC and so glad we did ;) As for maternity clothes i hear you! i rocked my own wardrobe up till around 8 months then i had to splurge on a few maternity pieces. I highly recommend Liz Lange for Target she makes some great basic tanks (That I'm still wearing now 4 weeks postpartum) and a super cute fitting maxi dress. I posted them under my "baby" section of my blog. Congrats to you and your hubby!

  4. Love this post! I'm in the same boat and have realized how horrendous maternity clothes are. I just stocked up on a bunch of maxi dresses from Forever 21, basically I just went up a size so they'd fit my expanding belly. My definite go to outfit has been leggings with my existing tunics, super easy and comfy!
